Thank You for Visiting our Website
The Amherst Rotary Club is one of over 33,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries worldwide belonging to Rotary International. The Amherst Rotary Club is made up of a diverse membership from the business, professional and civic communities of the Amherst Area. As members of the Amherst Rotary Club, we all strive to foster the ideal of “Service Above Self” while at the same time enjoying the fellowship and camaraderie of fellow members through our weekly luncheons and various service projects.
Our service projects locally have included, the dictionary project and our annual Christmas Party for the children associated with Family Outreach of Amherst. Additionally, our charitable giving has provided scholarships to 9 local high school students each year and financial gifts given to Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Amherst Survival Center, Not Bread Alone, Reader to Reader, the Town of Amherst, and the list goes on and on….. On the international level, the Amherst Club works with Rotary International which has been instrumental in helping to eradicate polio and helping to find ways to bring clean water to 3rd world countries as well as sponsoring health, education, hunger and humanity programs all over the world.
The Amherst Rotary Club raises money for its various giving programs and service projects from fundraisers such as the Amherst Town Fair and COVAC Bicycle Ride.
We meet every Thursday at noon at the Inn on Boltwood, on the Common in Amherst, for luncheons. Please join us.
