AMHERST ROTARY CLUB DONATES ‘CORDLESS SPELCHECKERS’ TO LOCAL 3RD GRADERS

Students in grade 3 at the Crocker Farm Elementary School received their very own Webster’s Dictionary from the Amherst Rotary Club on November 26. One of the Rotary Club’s goals is to promote literacy.  This year, the Rotary board approved spending up to $700 for dictionaries to be donated to local 3^rd graders.  So far this year, dictionaries have been donated to 3^rd graders in the Leverett, Hadley, and Crocker Farm elementary schools.  Project Chair Pete Webster said he is very excited to be getting these “cordless spellcheckers” in the hands of these students!
